The production process

The Yakaar Niani Wulli farmers grow organic fair trade cotton certified by Ecocert and Flocert. The cotton is then transformed into finished products using a range of traditional skills:

Farmers' wives spinning cotton Weaver weaving strips of cloth Dyer working her magic Tailors sewing strips into finished products
1. The cotton is spun by hand by the farmers' wives 2. The yarn is woven into strips of cloth by local weavers 3. The dyer adds her magic touch using natural indigo 4. The tailors sew the strips of cloth into finished products
